The election result came sort of surprise to me in the sense it was so dramatically different from the poll, as someone who need a lot of quiet time to reflect on things, it takes me quite some time to think through.
I had wish I could come up some more brilliant ideas (allow my ego of self-flattery for a just moment) like my previous post about astrology and American history. I then think for days and could not come up with anything sensible to convey. So I thought I may as well just tell the story of how that article came into being, and may you draw the inspiration from the story.
A few years ago, while helping my kids doing school homework, I had read several versions of Hillary’s biography. I had high respect for her amazing drive, and her persistent fighting spirit in push forward for what she believe in. Her performance as an outstanding lawyer, senator, and secretary of state is a testimony of woman’s capacity in contributing to social political issue of our society and the world. In my mind, she is someone like Margaret Thatcher, a role model and outstanding speaker for women’s rights and movement – someone I really look up to. Her gracious speech on ending of election demonstrated her wisdom, sensibility, good judgments and her flexibility to take things as it is and go with the flow.
But I had always been a political outsider, so when all the groups I took part in were talking about elections, I was concentrated on Astrology study. But over the summer, I read an article by Astrologist Robert Hand with the title The Great Conjunctions and the World Trade Center Attacks in older issues of Blue Mountain Astrology Magazine. At the conclusion of the article, Robert Hand wrote: “So here we have it: a method of historical analysis developed in the Middle Ages or earlier that shines a great deal of light on the events of the present. It is clear that what we do now will have tremendous impact on the future. Let us hope that we are guided by more than the narrow self-interest of the past. If we want the Islamic world to accept us as their brothers and sisters, we must treat them as such, recognizing that, at this point, there are elements in their world that would never accept us no matter what we did. We must shed the last vestiges of colonialism and assist where possible their coming into the modern world completely and yet allow them to do so on their own terms while maintaining their own civilization. We must remember that the entire methodology used in this article is the creation of that culture. Abu Ma’shar was an ethnic Iranian who wrote in Arabic and Middle Persian. He and others taught this method to our ancestors.”
What Robert Hands said has been staying in my mind for a long time since Astrologist Raymond Merriman also wrote about potential conflict with Iran in his 2016 Forecast book in the section Saturn and Mars: Diplomacy Versus The Threat of War. Then another article from Maurice Fernandez about 2020 the conjunction of Saturn with Pluto in Capricorn, prompted me to look further into that period as well. But my head hurt a lot with so much data and material to go through, still nothing substantial really stands out in my mind.
Over the weekend near Election Day, I went to the last opening ceremony of the year in Ksitigarbha Temple – one of the rare Buddhist Temple here in my area. I went to the temple to pay solute and whenever I have doubts. Most of the time I only prayed to Buddha （佛祖） and Avalokiteshvara (观音) and a few major Bodhisattvas in main chambers, but that day I went over the whole place and prayed to each statue of Bodhisattva and I ask for their guidance, support and inspiration in having better understanding of my work.
I know Buddha and Avalokiteshvara and all Bodhisattvas were with me when I worked through potential patterns in astrological data. Some how my mind cleared up, ideas came to me, and gradually all the ducks started to line up – the insight about Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter with American history just dawn on me. And that is how I got such a brilliant report to share with you. Talking about the power of praying ! Praying for the benefits of the society!
Namo Amituofo! Praise goes to Buddha, Avalokiteshvara and all Bodhisattvas! May they continue to bless America and this World!
